Would Santa Claus make a Good Triathlete?

In a season to be jolly, would Santa Claus make a good triathlete? You have to wonder if Santa had the right technology and technique, could it be possible that St. Nick could actually become a Triathlon Champion.

This festive question is whether Santa has the five key traits to become a successful triathlete, namely: consistency, discipline, hard work, determination and competitiveness.

Let’s break down what jolly old Saint Nicholas does every Christmas to find out if he’s got what it takes to be a successful triathlete:

Consistency: Every year without fail Father Christmas sticks to the process delivering toys around the world, so no problem for Santa to adhere to a strict training process format.

Discipline. looking at the size of Santa’s belly he does not miss out on his nutritional meals but still remains slim and fit enough to scamper down a chimney or two.

Hard Work. Don’t be fooled into thinking the stout old man has a dream job – working one busy night a year, Behind the North Pole scenes Santa is already working hard with his elves preparing for next year.

Determination: anyone who can handle a sleigh and eight flying reindeer at Stardust Antimatter Propulsion then proceed to quantum leap from chimney top to chimney top has the determination needed to be successful.

Competitiveness: if the big guy can make it across the world in one night, travelling at superluminal speeds and be back to the North Pole in time for a Christmas Day feast then an Ironman Distance Race would be a stroll in the park for jolly old Nick.

Based on these deductions it’s very possible that Santa Claus could give Kristen Blummenfelt and Jan Frodeno a run for their money at the Kona World Championships.

Maybe with a little Christmas magic — Santa is more than up to the challenge.

The only catch? We have to believe in him!

On that final note, a Merry Christmas to you all from the TriNation Team.
