These three will join by Beth Potter who was already selected by virtue of her having already meet the selection standard of two top-eight finishes in World Triathlon Championships Series having come 7th in both the Leeds and Abu Dhabi events. Upon his selection Cameron Main said “I have dreamed of being part of Team Scotland, and now I have the opportunity to do this on the 29th and 31st of July in Sutton Park”.

Two years ago, we caught up with Cameron who had his sights firmly set on trying to make selection for the Triathlon Scotland Team and video recorded his quest to make it to the Games.

The other half of the power couple is Sophie Green who in her breakthrough year took victory in the Europe Triathlon Cup Coimbra, Portugal in 2021. Upon being selected Sophie was straight to the point saying, “I can’t wait to race, get out there, gain experience and see what I can do.”

Back in 2021 Sophie was a front runner to secure qualification for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and the TriNation team were lucky enough to sit down and chat with her as she began what was a crucial 2021 season.

It was back in 2016 when Grant won the World University Games triathlon in Nyon, Switzerland, winning the individual title and helping Great Britain win the team title. Since then he has stood on the World Triathlon race podium on a number of occasions and has enjoyed top ten finishes.

In September 2021, Grant was back to podium ways in what was a Bohemian Rhapsody taking silver at the Karlovy Vary World Cup in the Czech Republic.
