PaceUp Media Working with HUNT to turn the Wheels in the World Tour

PaceUp Media the Cycling sports media agency have teamed up with UK wheel brand HUNT to help activate their sponsorship of WorldTour Team Qhubeka ASSOS (formerly NTT Pro Cycling) who became the first-ever African cycling team to gain a WorldTour license, in 2016. In a pandemic that has strained not just the ecosystem of cycling sponsors, but the sport at large, it’s great to see this significant sponsorship as evidence that the UK based HUNT wheels industry continues to thrive and offers HUNT the opportunity to engage with customers through sport.   

Whatever the short-term impact of various economic or regulatory challenges, the HUNT sponsorship deal underlines the fact that sponsorship remains an attractive long-term investment because of the global marketing platform it offers for the brand in seeking to build long-term relationships with customers. PaceUp Media’s mission is to help both HUNT (sponsor) and Qhubeka ASSOS (team) get more out of working together to create greater longevity which is vital for supporting the sponsorship model of a professional cycling team. 

 PaceUp Media have released the following statement on the collaboration: 

 At the end of 2020, Sussex-based wheel brand HUNT made an exciting announcement, that they’d be stepping up to WorldTour level with Team Qhubeka ASSOS – a team thrown into a late season search for new sponsors due the departure of NTT. While this is the first WorldTour partnership for HUNT, the brand has a long history of supporting teams across the globe, including leading UK female cycling squad Bianchi Dama, Canyon dhb SunGod as well as a number of ultra-endurance athletes through their HUNT Beyond program. 

The move to support the HUNT team in order to help activate their sponsorship and to make the most of the exciting opportunities presented by partnering with one of the world’s leading cycling teams was an easy and exciting conversation. 

Sharing our knowledge and experience from working with various WorldTour teams and activating team sponsorships over the past seasons allows PaceUp to work alongside HUNT on creative content, PR and strategy to achieve continued growth and brand awareness through HUNT’s sponsorship of Team Qhubeka-ASSOS.
