World Triathlon and ROTOR collaborate to Power athletes forward
A collaboration agreement has been reached between World Triathlon and ROTOR the bike component specialists to power athletes forward at the start of the 2022 season.
ROTOR will become the Official World Triathlon Development Partner, providing ROTOR potentiometers and technical support to athletes from the World Triathlon Development Athletes programme.
ROTOR will also provide technical support for development athletes at World Triathlon Championship Series races, all with the goal of helping them improve their cycling performance.
The meters can take the key metrics of pedal smoothness, torque effectiveness, left/right balance, optimum chainring angle and torque 360 to help improve an athlete’s technique and body position
Since its inception, ROTOR has been strongly linked to professional sport and its products and technological innovations have accompanied teams and athletes around the world, achieving successes and victories in the most prestigious competitions, from grand tours to world championships or the Olympic Games.
“There is no doubt that the ability to record and analyse cycling data with specialists can unlock an athlete’s cycling potential and help them achieve their goals,” said World Triathlon President Marisol Casado.
With triathlons power-house countries already using technology to surpass normal limits the partnership with ROTOR will allow World Triathlon “to bring similar analysis and the subsequent performance benefits to those hailing from smaller and developing triathlon countries.” added Marisol Casado.
ROTOR Bike Components CEO, José Luis García-Alegre said on the collaboration “…our origins, has always linked us to professional athletes of the highest level around the world. It is also an important challenge for us to help top-level triathletes achieve their goals, especially in the run-up to the Paris 2024 Olympics”,
