The ‘Big Trio’ of triathlon events to return

Three of the UK’s biggest triathlon events are to return much earlier than anticipated after British Triathlon create guidelines that allow race organisers to apply for a permit to ensure that events are as Covid-19 secure as possible whilst allowing racing to go-ahead.

Blenhiem Palace triathlon (12-13 September, 2020) , Hever Castle triathlon (26-27 September 2020) and Outlaw X (27 September 2020) have all announced that they will be putting on their events this year under the new strict social distancing racing guidelines created by British Triathlon.

Each event has applied and received conformation of their British Triathlon permit that allows them to go ahead. However, it is unlikely the elite events will still take place as it is difficult to see how a drafting event will take place whilst the guidelines are in place.
