Nirvana named official travel partner for the PTO Tour 2022
The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) has named Nirvana as the official travel partner for the PTO Tour in 2022, to take care of its extensive logistical and travel operation requirements allowing for stress-free event travel for Professional and Age Group competitors and the freedom to have a race to remember.
The PTO Tour in 2022 consists of:
- The PTO Canadian Open in Edmonton, Canada, on 23-24 July;
- The Collins Cup in Bratislava, Slovakia, on 20th-21st August; and
- The PTO US Open in Dallas, Texas, on 17-18 September.
According to PTO… ‘Professional Races will see the world’s greatest non-drafting professional male and female triathletes competing for a prize purse of US$1,000,0000 for each Open and US$1,500,000 for The Collins Cup.’
Controversy surrounded the introduction of Age Group racing when the pricing structure was announced for all PTO Tour events, but was quickly resolved with a 50% drop on original pricing, giving amateurs the opportunity to meet and race alongside the professionals, seen as a hallmark of the sport of triathlon.
The partnership will see Nirvana providing travel packages for all races on the PTO Tour starting with the Collins Cup.
‘Age group competitors will be able to absorb all the hair-raising, heart thumping and inspirational action from the professional race on Saturday 20th August before taking to the closed-roads course on Sunday to experience it for themselves.’
