Jan Frodeno Joins Forces With HOKA ONE ONE
Hoka One One have announced the signing of three time World Ironman Champion Jan Frodeno on a multi year deal.
The 2008 Olympic champion who also took his third Ironman world title last year will wear the shoes for the next three seasons.
Frodeno, 38, has moved away from his former shoe brand Asics and following trial and error over many months with dozens of different shoe brands he stated his decision came down to two questions “Is the performance there?” and “Is that brand evolving high performance endurance sport?” The brand which originated in France and now based in California “knocked both questions out of the park” according to Frodeno.
He joins multiple other Ironman athletes who have also recently joined the shoe brand such as David Mcnamee, Miranda Carfrae and Tim O’donnell, who took second place in the Ironman World Championships in 2019 wearing the shoe brand.
It will be interesting to see whether the shoe brand will push the performance of the German even further than he already has gone once the 2020 season gets underway.
